  • A Compromise

While I may or may not have a problem with the Trump name being added, what irritated me was the Kennedy’s pretending their name was some holy grail not to be touched. When they had the opportunity to show their integrity the entire family failed to do so. They trivialized the life of Mary Jo Kopechne, trivialized the character flaw of the man who left her to die all so they could gain power.

  • Merry Christmas!

My little printed army was out spreading holiday cheer this year.

  • Moonshot

Playing around with some Nasa moon maps and I think the lander was from Shrox.

  • Discovery 1

I was cleaning up the model, set up the antennae so it would rotate and hit render.

  • Playing with shadows

Started playing with environments, shadow catchers, converting a couple old objects and integrating them into the scene. Came out okay for a quick go at it.

  • Asteroids!

I saw a tutorial on YouTube on making asteroids in Lightwave. Figured I’d give it a go and made a few. I think they are ready for a project, just need to come up with something.

  • Test post

Since I didn’t spring for the business level membership, I can’t install plug ins. So, no native 360 photo support. But links work so maybe more of these in the future.

  • DOGE Coaster

It was time to warm the printer up, so I modeled a coaster with the Department of Government Efficiency logo. I model in Lightwave, slice in Cura and print on a Creality Ender S1 printer. Making gadgets, figurines etc. is a great pastime on these cold winter days.

  • The Enterprise Incident

The original episode shot had the Klingon D7 with a contrived reason why Romulans would be using them. This was to cover up the fact the Romulan Warbird model maker destroyed the model. They didn’t want to pay to use it.

After my Enterprise made it to a usable condition, this render was the result.

  • New Horizons

What an amazing sight it must have been when New Horizons visited Pluto. We need to get out there.
